Siefersheimer Kräuterhexen: "Litha | Summer Solstice"

An herb walk and a shared discovery of the medicinal and incense herbs now in flower.

The summer solstice is one of the Celtic festival days, still celebrated today as the Feast of St John. In keeping with Celtic mythology, we are offering a midsummer evening walk. Many medicinal herbs can now be explored and explained while in bloom. After the herb walk, the customs of the Celts are celebrated with a ritual mugwort health dance around the St John's fire. A mugwort wreath is bound for the occasion. According to Celtic tradition, dancing around the fire earns you a year of good health.

A shared wild-herb meal rounds off the evening, both in culinary and in mythological terms.
