Geological and culinary herb walk & Hexentapas (witches' tapas)
Probably our most unusual herb walk: out to the 35-million-year-old surf coast at Siefersheim. Old herb lore surrounding the "Frauendreißiger" (the thirty days from 15 August, when herbs are held to be at their most potent), spectacular rhyolite erosion formations on the Siefersheim surf coast and prehistoric phenomena are all explained in an entertaining way. The Siefersheimer Kräuterhexen (the "herb witches" of Siefersheim), who travel as nature ambassadors for the "Rheinhessische Schweiz" and for their own village, share all kinds of anecdotes and stories about old and almost forgotten knowledge.
A culinary end to the walk is planned, with Hexentapas and summery Secco in the green inner courtyard of the Weingut Moebus. Beyond that, there are secluded spots in the rose garden to explore, or the summer cool of the historic cross vault to enjoy.
Herb walk, Hexentapas & 1 glass of Secco 35 euros
