Plant Whisper

More commonly used in Indian traditional medicine. The name pyrethrum refers to the burning taste of the root. Pyrethrum (Anacyclus pyrethrum var. pyrethrum) is a genus of plant in the daisy family (Asteraceae), particularly well-known as a medicinal plant through the medicine of Hildegard von Bingen. It is considered a fortifying spice that is said to promote digestion, brain function, and the immune system by reducing "bad humors" in the body.

GOLDEN RULE for EVERYTHING: Eat only what you know! The rule applies: a handful of wild plants per person and day may be collected on public land. Use only washed plant parts that you can identify clearly – when in doubt, please refrain from using them.

TIP: One advantage of buying over-the-counter medicines from a pharmacy or specialist retailer is the expert advice on your symptoms.
